Orvieto is a beatuiful medieval town, located in the green region of Umbria, in the heart of Italy. It is famous for its cathedral with mosaics and marble reliefs that take an amazing golden light when hit by the sun, especially at sunset.
The narrow streets and the stone houses reveal its authenticity as a medieval town, built on the top of a tufa rock hill, but in reality it has more ancient origins, being built by etruscans and romans (there are alot of witnesses of the ancient past just under house, palaces and even resaturants!).
Our guide will show the most important places of the town, including the cathedral and will take you to have a dinner at an excellent trattoria wher you could taste "ombricelli" (hand made pasta, typical of this area), with truffles while drinking a glass of "Orvieto" wine sitting on a glass structure above the ancient staircase!
