Sailing is an unusual point of view for people who cycle. We usually cycle along the coast and we observe the sea at the horizon. Thanks to the cruise and the cycle trips, the knowledge becomes deeper and total.

Sailing from the boat, we will admire indented shores and infinite charming creeks: we will cycle along little isles and inaccessible areas from the mainland. Cycling along the shores, we will observe the beauty and the colours of flowers, we will smell the fragrance of pinewood and Mediterranean scrub, we will visit old human settlements, we will enjoy the breaking view of little bays with clear sand bottom. We will have relaxing breaks for sunbathing and swimming.

We will visit by bike and boat the north-east part of the island, from Olbia to Capo Testa by Santa Teresa di Gallura, through the celebrated Costa Smeralda.

At first we will cycle from Olbia to the north along Costa Smeralda. till Liscia di vacca. From Porto Cervo / Poltu Quatu we will reach Cannigione and later Palau admiring huge, granite rocks with their spectacular shapes carved by the wind. Stop to climb to the gorgeous Bear Rock settled on a headland where we will enjoy a breathtaking landscape on La Maddalena Archipelago.

Cruise from Palau to La Maddalena island. We will discover this little island full of white beaches and unforgettable natural fjords, through the tiny island of Caprera where we have to make a stop in order to pay our respects to a great Italian hero, Giuseppe Garibaldi. We will then reach Santa Teresa di Gallura and later Capo Testa, the northwest and most western point in our journey. From there we will begin our back trip through Arzachena and San Pantaleo, inland towns, to reach at last Olbia again. Along the journey we will visit giants’ graves, La Prisgiona nuragic village and many more.

It is difficult to end this special holiday. Landscapes, the sea, the crew who took care of us, the beautiful boat and the tiny group of fellow travellers, whose friendship became deep, are all important memories to keep in mind.
