Don't miss to visit the amazing village of Matera, entirely carved in the stone of a calcarenitic mountain.
In the morning you will be invited to have a walk around the Sassi with a specialized guide who will tell you everuthing about their history and development. At the end of the 2 hours walking tour you will have lunch at a typical restaurant where you could taste special dishes from the local cuisine.
In the afternoon your tour will proceed with the visit of some rupestrian churches: they were excavated in the stone during the first centuries AD and decorated with frescoes.
