Orvieto is a beautiful medieval town, located in the green region of Umbria, in the heart of Italy. It is famous for its cathedral with mosaics and marble reliefs that take on an amazing golden light when hit by the sun, especially at sunset.
The narrow streets and the stone houses reveal its authenticity as a medieval town, built on top of a tufa rock hill, but in reality it has more ancient origins, being built by Etruscans and Romans (there are a lot of witnesses of the ancient past just under houses, palaces, and even restaurants!).
Our guide will show you the most important places of the town, including the cathedral, and will take you to have dinner at an excellent trattoria where you can taste "ombricelli" (handmade pasta, typical of this area), with truffles, while drinking a glass of "Orvieto" wine, sitting on a glass structure above the ancient staircase!
