Tivoli is a nice old town, located on the top of a hill, just outside Rome.
Here you can visit the wonderful "Hadrian's Villa" built by the roman Emperor in the Second century AD as his own residence. It is an exceptional complex of classical buildings that combines elements of the architectural elemnts of Egypt, Greece and Rome, in the form of an "ideal city".
After having tasted local dishes at a typical restaurant, you will be taken to the Este Villa, to admire the beautifu garden with fountains and statues and to visit the interior rich of frescoes and other decorations.
Both the Villas have been inscribed in the UNESCO WOrld Heritage List!
